I have 4 already with MotionPlus.  although extras for the drumkit / guitars would be usefull I guess.

I don't have that.

Quoting: Kenny

I always do.

Some Pepperami reds and a box of walkers.

Sorted.

Jo

I'll sort my own food out, as only need food Fri eve and Sat morn, be easier that way

Thinking of picking up some Pierogi from Asda...

FUBAR

Slight complication...

Flatout 2 refuses to complete the installation process on my machine, upon re-boot it triggers the windows 7 startup repair process which promptly removes the game again...

UC works fine tho...

Have you tried setting it up in a virtual PC?

FUBAR

Incursus

Sure I had Windows 7 (RC) at the last LAN.  Not got any versions of Flatout to test though.

Titsy

seriously though a what?

W7 allows you to create a virtual PC running any previous version of windows. I have an XP VPC for running some old CAD software.

Might depend what version of W7 you have though. I have W7Pro

FUBAR

Oh you mean compatability mode, yeah tried that the secone time, still didn't want to know

Ditto to W7pro here too, this mode was the main reason for getting pro as home doesn't have it

Nope, I mean Virtual PC.

FUBAR

My impression is thats what the W7 comp mode does, thats why it needs twice a much RAM to run this mode & needs more HDD space to install, because it is basically running WinXP in the background...

Kenny

I believe you need to download the xp emulator.  Iirc its not installed with win7 as standardbut is available online for win7 pro users.  I may be wrong...

The compatibility mode (which is on all versions I think) just sorts out the problem of the new folder structure that win 7 (and vista) have.

Titsy

Virtual PC runs the legacy operating system in the foreground so it is entirely like you are running an older version of windows. I couldn't run my older version of AutoCAD in compatability mode, but it runs fine under an XP virtual machine.

Roadkill

On a sidenote the garage LAN venue has now been thoroughly, cleared, cleaned, tidied, dusted, wiped down, hoovered and mopped (although not in that exact order).

The plan is to pick up the carpet tonight . . . If all goes to plan I'll post a piccy or two later.

hmm might be worth trying just copying frmo my pc or summat then just run the game exe .... as AFAIR it doesn't really worry and copying & running seemed to work OK last LAN!

As always.

I don't mind going to CostCo - but, as stated by several, it does make sense to buy as individuals - this time at least - as, firstly, the BBQ is probably not going to be happening and secondly, many aren't staying the full duration.

That said I'm also actually on a reasonably strict diet at the moment so probably won't be eating much at all - instead will be supplementing my calorific intake purely with beer.

FUBAR

Spent yesterday sorting UT2004 out (partly anyway)  I've picked up so cool new maps to play too which should be good fun & a little different.
