A Ridler is the most prestigious award to win, The builders I know that have built them put in more effort than any other show due to this award making your career. Things the judges look for most top builders wont even bother doing.

Well the owner gets the actual award as its their car the builder gets a couple of mil $, Cant be any dry paint anywhere, no orange peal, panel gaps have got to be exact, and everything has to be on the car for a purpose and fitted where the judges think it should be. Even to get into the great 8 each year is very impressive.
